hey guys

just got a quick question....

my cousin gave me a small supercharger to put on my car (stock 1.3l sierra)
and was wondering if there is/would be much involved in hooking it up
seeing as i have a coily it already has a spare pully off the crank and mounts
for air con etc so is it as easy as bolting it up and running it or would i need
low comp pistons etc?

thanks, max

What sort of supercharger is it?

Fitting such a thing is the simple part, sorting a fueling/ignition system that will work and tuning it is the hard/expensive part.

It's one of those if you have ask then you aren't able to do it things.

Sierras run a pretty low compression ratio (8.9 for the 1.3ls IIRC) so they can be run on 18 month old shitty drum fuel in typical farm fashion.

Every thing I've ever read about turbos and Sierras/Vitaras indicates that the motors don't like boost.

Half right, the earlier G13A is 8.9:1, the later G13BA (coily motor) is 9.5:1.
