Hi guys I had a search and couldn't find what I was after. Can someone confirm if the jack shaft uni's are the same as the front/rear drive shaft uni's on a sj70 wt. The parts guy told me he would need to measure to confirm but I would prefer to not pull the jack shaft out just to measure uni's. |

Afaik they are, if you're replacing them why not justpull it to measure and do the replacement at the same time? Point the nose downhill and you won't lose oil out of the gearbox! |

If they aren't the same I then have to wait for them to come in, would prefer just to know for sure so I can get the right part. |

Yes, they are the same. Every parts counter in australia will try and confuse the crap out of you about what unis you need. For some reason "THE BOOK" says there's three different types of sierra unis, and you'll be asked if they are 22mm or 25mm or some nonsense, or external/internal clip. Avoid the confusion and ask for vitara unis. "THE BOOK" only lists one vitara uni and it's the same as WT Sierra. Much less hassle. Steve. |
