Hey guys im putting it in this section as i dont know if its bieng answered before or where i can find a helping thread.
Bassically my carby is reving really high between 2500 revs and the throttle is gone?
if anyone can point me in the direction of a usefull thread detailing a rebuild or a detailed overview of how it works so i know where it is wrong that would be great.
Cheers, jake

Sounds like auto choke is sticking.
If its the same as early carbys,
it works with water running through it.
As radiator water warms up, it slowly removes choke.
Often the water ways get blocked and need cleaning out.
Or replacing of the mechanism.

After fixing carby, before starting engine,
make sure fuel system is clean, tank, filter/s changed,
new fuel pump
(old ones can lose diaphragm material that gets into carby)
an extra filter in line after pump is helpful to prevent above issue.

Thanks for the help chris
And that diagrm is mint.
i think i may need to replace the mechanism as the spring does not spring back at all after the accelerator is released.
I can manulally pull down the accelerator cable at the carby and it idles nicly but as soon as i rev it it does not pull back all the way when released and hence why it is reving high.
bit of a pain hey shark haha

Remove the choke butterfly, it will take a bit longer to warm up in the morning though...
