Post subject:  gearbox identification

my sierra has down a clutch and Im trying to work out what clutch kit to purchase ... my issue here is that the previous owner did a g16 conversion and I'm trying to determine what gearbox was used ??

any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it is a Sierra gearbox there will be an adaptor plate between gearbox and engine.

Most likely you have a Sierra 1.3 gearbox, could be Vit? Got a pic?
There are two different clutch/flywheels for 1.3 Sierra's.
You'll have to have a look at your flywheel to see if it is flat or stepped to ensure you get the right clutch kit.

I tried to upload a pic but failed.. I did have a little look and there is what seems to be a thin plate between the engine and transmission, it's only about three or four mm think .. is this maybe an adaptor plate or are they thicker?? are there any other features that can tell them apart??

ok so another silly question the gear box is a sierra box, but what clutch would they have used ??
