Hi everyone!!

So I splurged out and ordered a brand new ARB front winch bar, deluxe thing or combar/combination bar, for my Sierra '93 WT.. Whatever you want to call it. It got fitted on Friday!!! YAY

However, it appears that there is no mounting bracket for the UHF aerial. It was promised that it would indeed have one, however it doesn't.

It does have the mounting brackets for spotties and everything else it's supposed to, but not the UHF aerial bracket.

So for those of you that have one, does yours have the UHF aerial mounting bracket??

I'm not really happy if I have to put one of those crappy bolt on brackets onto a bar that I forked out a fair price for. Did they perhaps forget to put one on mine, or do none of them have one??

Thanks
J

I don't believe any of them have one. The two ARB bars I have here certainly don't.

I think the reason is that the standard ARB antenna mount would be too close to the facia of the car if it was fitted.

Thanks!!

Was hoping not to use a clamp Fatzook.. But might be forced to resort to that..

I looked at an ARB aerial mount on a 200 series cruiser and it just wasn't that large... Looked to me like it would gave heaps of clearance for lifting the bonnet, certainly no less clearance than if I were to use a clamp I reckon.. They wouldn't be a different size mount would they??

When I brought mine they said it has a UHF bracket but it did not, so I have a ARB clamp.
