I have an 1989 sierra, I already have a locker but want a bit more flex or droop! What are your thoughts on drop shackles? Or other alternatives?

Take your bloody anti roll bar out already!!

The general consensus is drop shackles are shit and make your car unstable. Good for looking cool on ramps.

RUF (rears up front, where you extend the chassis so you can fit rear springs in) is pretty much the best way to get more flex out of the front. EFS 65mm rears in the back is good enough for pretty much anyone really.

You could get better than the blue LJ did with just 2" leafs, longer shocks and removed anti roll bar. Just get those leafs off Tyson.

Use the search function and you'l find shitloads on this subject.

Speaking of drop shackles, I've got a CAD file that's the template you give a laser cutter to cut out the plates to make a set of drop shackles. No idea where I got it from or if it works. If anyone wants it PM me.

might be the one i made years ago and suzukiinfo put it on his site... was a DWG or DXF file... they worked, and were strong... but they were still drop shackles =)

On AZ no one is aloud to say anything about spelling or grammar. But people do get sick of deciphering what your saying.

I've been going through and editing your posts so there readable, please make an effort in the future.

PS: you don't need to put a link to 'new topic' page in every first post of a thread.
