First off, ive tried searching, but i can't find what im looking for so i started this I have a 2" lift in my WT, and have a set of 31's sitting in the garage waiting for wheels to put them on. Essentially, what needs to be cut & massaged and how much? If im not mistaken, its just the bumper 'outriggers' (the bits of tube?) and then just attacking the seams with a hammer. Is that it or is there more? I'd really prefer to get it mostly sorted out before the tyres go on. Thanks, Tom |

Depends on how much flex you get out of the springs but yes cutting the outriggers and bashing the seams is a start |

Yep, what you've said is correct. But, without bumpstop spacing, you will need to do a virtual lift/guardchop or the tyre will rub and jam up in the guards still.

i need some bumpstop spacing - i have commo/hiace shocks. (looks like around 40-50mm in that pic, is that whats needed?) Will that be enough? If i decide to get decent shocks in the future ill worry about the guards then. |

It is 50mm yes. But, thats for other reasons. 25mm is enough for tyre clearance and to suit the shocks. |
