Both these starters are listed for the sierra. One mentions it suits (some).

One is alot bigger than the other, here are the specs

Need the one to suit a g13ba.
Any help would be great.

the one in the second pic suits a swift or fwd configured gearbox with the offset holes on the nosecone of the starter.

there are 2 versions though... there's the stock sized one and there's a smaller aftermarket version which is better for people running g16 blocks.

Can i fit the fatter version of the top one to my 1.3? I pulled it out of a very early jimny

yes you can , the fatter one is just a direct drive off the armature , the thinner one has a little "gearbox" in it (reduction drive) the thinner one produces more torque , the fatter one works fine and has done in many a sierra.

Just fitted the g13bb jimny starter motor, was exactly the same size and shape as the one i pulled out.

Repacement one sounds a little different than the old one, do they need lining up perfect when fitting it or just line bolts up and tighten?
