Guys, I was messing around with the vit to tighten up all the nuts and bolts.... and ironically i have stupidly misplaced the lower bolts and nuts that attach the rear shocks! can someone please give me the dimensions of what i need to buy??? If one of you guys know I would really REeeaaally appreciate the reply tonight/tomorrow morning as I was planning to go for a cheeky trip brunswick/collie this saturday morning! would be gutted if i didn't get to go! For just a one day trip, any bolt that is long enough, with a matching nut. Too loose may rattle. Measure hole bolt goes through, to get correct bolt thickness. Get a bolt long enough to go thru shock and have thread sticking out for nut. |

High tensile M12 60mm or 65mm long with spring washer under the nut. Actual bolt looks like M12 fine 60mm with tapered thread and HD spring washer. See pics below. |

Never seen a bolt with a tapered thread - pipe fittings yes - bolts nope. |

To be quite honest, I've been curious about the length of the bolt, but as losfer says - the thread won't eat the bush if there's a crush sleeve. My GV has long bolts in that position, and so does my Pajero iO. |

Sorry guys - didn't mean tapered as ones used on pipe fittings etc, meant tapered just that it has the last 3 or so millimetres of thread rounded off at the end to help locate the bolt through the hole - as seen in the pics. Excuse my grammar but what would you call this? |
