Hey Guys

Just got a 97 coily, the gearbox has had an oil change and after this when you take your foot off the pedal something is emitting a loud whining sound, but only when your foot is off the accelerator?
Anybody have this issue?

Cheers

The sound happen all the time when not depressing the accelerator, both stationary and moving? Are you sure the sound is coming from the gearbox?

The sound happens both moving and stationary, but only when the accelerator isn't depressed. Its definately in the gearbox as you can hear it when it is in neutral and cant hear it if the clutch is pressed. How hard is it to overhaul the gearbox and install new bearings?

Where is Belmont north? WA?

I'd suggest you ask one of the knowledgeable WA locals if they could take a look for you. Trying to diagnose random noises over the internet is not easy.
