| Post subject: | Reverse lights On/Off have swapped |
Hi, Got up this cold morning and did what any loving Jimny owner would do...warm it up. Wlaking away from my car I realised that the reverse lights were on, even though the manual shifter was in neutral. Upon shifting into reverse I found the lights turned off, back into neutral they turned on again? I'm very puzzled. I can't find any loose connections in any wiring and the reverse switch on the g.box feels very tight. I haven't toughed anything on the car in months and this started overnight? Not sure where to go from here, I can't find any threads on the issue. Can anyone help Thanks |

Did you check te fuses? Suzuki's do whacky things with a blown fuse. |

My guess is a bad ground on one of the rear light clusters. |

This probably isn't going to help much, but I remember having my Vitara's clutch cable replaced a few years ago and the workshop that did it messed around with the wiring for the gear shift. So when I was in 5th gear the reverse lights would come on. When I found out I finally understood why everyone was giving me weird looks on the freeway... But I'm with Matthew, it's probably only a blown fuse. |

I've checked the fuses and everything is fine. What is the best way for checking a bad ground, and once you have determined that there is a bad ground somewhere, how do you find it in the plethora of wires in the vehicle Thanks |
