Is it true the whole grill needs to be taken out to change the parking lights? are the clips under the grill easy to break? Is it just a matter of pulling it of and unbolting the head light to get to them? Its a real biatch to get to especially with the bar. Once i figure it out i think it will be time to put some leds in there while its all apart. |

Yeah parking light the grill has to come off. All you have to do is pop the trim clip thingys on top where the bonnet shuts onto and then pull the grill back. It's held on by 5 pull out clip thingys. Shouldn't need to pull the whole grill off though. Might just be able to get the wings and then unscrew them. |

Might be quicker to go through the front wheel arch (may or may not be possible with your bar - it is with the JML). Much easier for me taking off a few of the wheel arch clips and pulling the inner guard down than having to remove spotties etc to get the grill off. |

Ive got a TJM bar, ill have a suss of that see if it works. I always break those wheel arch clips even just looking at them breaks them |

The clips in the lower part of the grill are very forgiving. |

Yep sure is, Would be easier without the bar, not much room to move stuff around. Replacing the headlights are harder they have 2 screws holding them in need a stubby phillips head and small hands if u have a bar like mine. May as well change and upgrade while its all apart. |

can't you reach in from behind & unplug the loom from the globe, then pull the rubber boot off & then remove the headlight globe? EDIT: just had a look at the SQ FSM & that's how you pull the headlight globes, you might have to move the rad overflow & washer on the LHS. |

When you do get in there, replace with an LED globe, less likely to need to change it again. Or modify stuff to make it easier to get to. I plan on LED for mine if they ever die. |

EDIT: just had a look at the SQ FSM & that's how you pull the headlight globes, you might have to move the rad overflow & washer on the LHS. Ive pulled out both of the head lights to get to the parkers. and they are held in with a retaining clip and 2 screws the globe is free but held in with a metal spring thing and 2 tiny screws. Need a small had and stubby screw driver. Ill do it tonight and put up pics or what it is. And then find a better way. |

You just unclip the spring from the little catch & it swings open? |

you GV owners are a special kind of potato. 2nd page, top image shows the clip that holds the globe in, push (1) down, unclip spring clip from (2), swing spring clip thing out of the way & remove the globe ![]()

is that because of your dual battery set up? |

Changing parkers the light grill needs to be pried away (not off necessarily, my bar is in the way of getting it off.) Headlights would be a super tight squeeze with the dual battery set up where it is. woot thanks, so much more useful than the silly glove box one! |
