When I took the front apart on my zook, one of the kingpins had snapped. I ordered some and they have arrived but are a different size to the ones that came out. Not a huge difference but I am no expert and don't want to stuff anything or have a dangerous car on my hands when I am done.

So... Is the difference in measurements a big deal? :? They were measured using a ruler so to the nearest 1/2 mm but definitely different...

Cheers,

It should be fine however you may need a few shims to set bearing preload properly

Great news! Finding the shims was the hardest part but I now have a heap coming from Roadless gear so should be fine. I got 4 new Kingpins by mistake (their mistake, not mine) so will put 4 new ones in all shimmed up properly.

Cheers.

Not knowing any better, could the difference in size be due to wear? Or are they just not made to exacting tolerances?

They could be, that is why I asked. They don't look as well machined as the original ones and I don't really know what surfaces are the important ones so asked the question just to be sure.
