My 99 jimny wont go into 4L. It goes in 4H without any problems but when pushing the seletor down and back to try select 4L it doesn't let me pull back? Would have an idea of what the problem could be?

Is the gearbox in neutral?

My 90s vit locks out changing to 4L if not in N. (Ie just stopping won't let you change)
