According to the Calmini web site, they only make a 2.5" lift kit. It seems the 3" super articulation vitara version must not fit. Is the late vitara a better base to start with than the early GV? The basic build combination I'd like to get sorted is hovering around Vit/GV '97-'03, j20a, AW4, SWB, 215/85r16, no BL, just enough lift/trimming as needed to clear the tyres, and what ever droop rear articulation I can get.

correct the 2 kits aren't interchangeable & with the SV420 you'll need to replace the diff drop brackets with some from bits4vits. that is if calmini haven't started updating the vitara kit to suit the wider chassis rails of the SV's. (called the sidekick sport in the US)

they're much of the same & depends on your preference... both are going to have the alloy front diff & if you're getting a GV i'd be looking for the updated version with the nicer interior & grill... the early ones look a bit
