Team

Last bolt of my towbar install is spin spin spinning and wont tighten up.

Any ideas for a fix?? The thread must be mangled...

is the thread rooted or has the captive nut come unstuck?

get it time-serted/heli-coiled

Nylon lock nut, Spring washer & Loctite

can you actually get to it to put a nut on it as its into the chassis????

If access is hard then weld fencing wire to the nut and poke it into any chassis hole ya can find and feed it to the right spot.

just looked on a uk vit thread and this is common for the threads to rust out and eat out when bolted. Most guys have drilled right through chassis and wack long bolts with nylock nut on.

You have lot to learn grass hopper.

You can fit a spanner in there holding the nut while you tighten the bolt

are you sure you can do it on a SQ625... if they're anything like a SV they have an enclosed chassis rail, it's not a open box framed sierra.

Wellllll that's a different kettle of pigeons then.

Drill the bolt hole and re tap the thread to fit a slightly larger bolt.

wrong again grasshopper, profile picture shows a SE416V, vehicle in question is the one in the vehicle details which states SQ625.

OP is lacking details in his thread, i'll give you that one... but he's a noob so can be forgiven. :wink:
