Post subject:  recovery points?

This doesn't seem stock but I am wondering if it'll do as a proper recovery point? picture was taken from directly underneath looking up. There is a similar point up front but rather than bolted it was welded on. both points were from the previous owner. any comments appreciated.

That's stock for a coil car. Contrary to what the naysayers reckon, you won't die, nor will the sun implode to a black hole if you use it for recovery. Just be sensible and don't get snatched out by a Neanderthal in a patrol on the limiter in 2nd low.

Yes but often people who pull you out often have no clue how to do a proper snatch..
Check to see if you can identify if the bolts are High Tensile or if they are some kind of cheap bunnings job...
