Hi Guys
i have some sliders that mount he same as these below. long story short, because of where the washer is welded in the vertical tube, the sliders will take all the pressure from the nut and washer or in my case with a body lift, the female bolt and washer.
this means the rubber that normally compresses when you do up the nut (or female bolt) will be fully floating and the sliders will reduce the maximum vertical travel on the 4 inner most body mount points.
is this going to crack, damage or change anything? at the moment its next to impossible to get the bolts to thread onto the stud as the welded washer is too far down the tube amd the bolts wont reach.
should i cut 15-20 mm off the tube, bringing the step closer to the sills, and allow the rubber mounts to accept some of the tension?
