Hi Guys

I'm about to adjust my valve clearances on my g13ba and just read the service manual. Doing them cold is easy enough but how am I suppose to do them while the engine is hot?. Also i've read else where that if i dont have any feeler gauges I could use an old credit card?

Cheers

Get proper feels gauges......

To do them hot you just do it after you have driven it. It's a pain but it's where they should be adjusted as that is the temp that the engine is at normal operating conditions.

so when i adjust them cold its just to get the motor running? I have a tappety tap sound coming out of my rocker cover , would that be the valve clearances?

Yer just to get it running, don't expect there to be a big difference when you do them hot. Could be the noise, worth checking either way.
