Anyone had any experience with custom seat covers from Supercheap auto website? For years i keep thinking i will do the retrim myself but my first set of ripped seats rusted through. Last year i replaced them with fabric and i really need some water-proofness soon. |

Just put some on mine a week ago (Black Silver), look allright, mold pretty well to the seat, i have arm rests so it also had covers for them It would be nice if the fabric on mine continued to the back of the seat but its just thin fabric for rear. cost around 165 for the seat covers too that was on a special i got. I saw the leatherette ones but chose the the black silver ones as was on special and have foam backing + can be washed if need. They do have waterproof canvis which would be good if gona get the seats wet. |

hopefully the leatherettes are the same material front and back I was a little concerned at the amount of variations the site has listed for the Sierra. Hopefully the 91-93 custom option is correct for my 92 I plan on using Stormsure on the inside seams. The wetness is more for times it rains and i forget to put the soft top on, i think with the last set of factory ripped vynil seats the foam would soak up the water and dampness on the mounts ate away etc |

I contacted this mob, they said they will do fronts-only for $399. Pretty pricy but looks way better than the supercheap ones. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/330978987854 |

For that sort of price, it might be worthwhile having a chat to Bulldog Trimming (which you will find in the Business Directory). ramjet had some custom canvas covers done up by them and they looked the goods. |

its a sliperary slope, how much do you spend on stock seats. I've been to time poor project wise to do my own. Ultimately i want to do something like the Smittybilt GEAR seat covers to add slim storage pouches to a Pleather/Leatherrete look. I've been umm-ing and ahhh-ring ovever the $60-$80 generic canvas/leatherette covers to stop the soggy foam, $155 for a fitted shape rather than flappy folds. One thing i try to do is not bling up my soft top up to much as thieves tend to be drawn by slick and shiny. those ebay ones are still 'leather look' (although they may be PU Leather) i'm sure local upholsteres coud do similar for a cash-no-receipt deal. Bulldog triming quoted $220 for canvas posted. They do look good but i decided to give the SCA a chance, the LWB has a resin roof so in the long run the sca wil end up in there. |

At the time I was a little bit bummed, because I was eyeing off a bulldog set but I put them on there for the trip to straddie and to make my mum feel good.... and you know what, they are still on there. Sure, they annoy me almost daily because the canvas is only on the front side and it tends to move around a bit, and sure they will go in the bin eventually, but for what they cost they were probably worth it until I can find something better. |
