Hi all, I've been searching through the forums for installs people have done for their CB radio. I've got a Uniden UH-7740NB UHF Radio ( http://www.uniden.com.au/australia/p_uh7740nb_index.asp), but at the moment I've only got it velcro'd to the carpet on the transmission tunnel (because I'm a pro at this). I'm looking for a more permanent and prettier solution, so does anyone have any photos of installs of UHF radio installs underneath the ash tray, or another place where I won't have to cut up the dash or similar. As always, any help / guidance is appreciated.

I mounted my GME in the ashtray slot, but it looks like your Uniden is about 20mm wider and a few mm higher then my unit so might not fit. Here's mine for reference anyway. I flattened the sides of the metal ashtray slide and drilled 2 holes for the screws on the side of the unit.

Mine ended up on the roof (Vitara) with an extension running the mic in to the glove box.

I had a look under the dash last night where I wanted to put it, I think it should be ok if I make up some type of bracket... I'll keep having a dig around and if I find anything I'll report back haha

Hey what brand is that head unit? I'm looking for a screen that can display more than just a couple of lines. Don't want CD but would like Bluetooth phone connection.
