Hello all, from Newcastle. New to forum and Vitaras. Thought I would say hi. Have run Suzuki bikes for 30 years but never a car. I do hope that Mr Suzuki will impress me as much with my Grand Vitara. A friend had an early ragtop, many years ago, and I was very impressed with how well it did its thing. 2002 two door 2 litre with 360k on the body. Engine swap 20k ago for a 130k motor. Doing my usual post purchase services, oil, filter, plugs, serpentine belt, 4 tyres, I have found a few issues that need addressing. As to be expected. Front hubs on order along with manual lockers. Cv boot to be done whilst I'm in there. Front diff oil seals. Rear door handle. Code for factory stereo. Hook up body tail lights (stupid A.D.R. that one) I have found a few references to an aftermarket bush for the free floating cv. I am interested in procuring and installing one. If anyone has any input on other things that are likely to need attention, it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I have the same car. Legendary.
Good luck with the code for the factory stereo though. I think you are stuffed there.

I'm Heading down that avenue my self shortly, will let you know what I find. If you take your vin number to a Suzuki dealership, they should be able to give you your radio/ key codes.

Thanks Joe. I found a thread and got in touch with Bruce. Bush is on the way. Hubs turned up this arvo in the post. Two days after I ordered them. "4wd products" ebay seller in Wentworth Sydney. Awesome quick dispatch. I can rip into it now, when the rain stops.
