hello zookersI'm new to the game, just bought myself a 1990 Vitara JLX and am looking at putting a 3" maybe 4" lift in her and was wondering about peoples experiences with different kit or what YOU would do with my car (body and susp. lift or just shocks/springs etc). Im only looking for a sweet little weekender/daily for now nothing crazy but i want to know what i'm going to need for the lift (in regards to whats needed - maybe off the shelf kits, diff drop brackets, CV conversions etc etc) and how hard it would be to do with a couple of mates and myself with or without a hoist. I'm not looking to spend a whole heap but id put my budget in the mid range (not crappy parts but not top shelf if yano what i mean) as i want to give her a bit more off road capability through clearance but need to get onto the engine before the big changes are coming. i know these threads probably come up often but any help would be awesome! only one of my mates with a zook so got no where to start!! obviously the cooler one in the gang huh thankyou people!!

welcome to AZ, what size tyres do you want to run & how prepared are you to do bodywork to make the tyres fit?

if money is a concern, just get a simple dobinson lift & when you can afford tyres, bung in a bodylift or cut the bitch like it owes you money.

The Dobinson kit will be fine without diff drops.
