I'll start by saying that I have HID's installed in my car by the previous owner, they were installed badly i.e just wires twisted and electrical taped. I have since fixed the connections with solder and heatshrink while still maintaining their wiring.

But my headlights seem to turn themselves on while the car is OFF and draining my battery... ONLY WHEN IT RAINS. Usually if I turn the high beams on it will kill the lights for a while but eventually they will turn on again...

Now I know it could be a wiring issue or an issue with the HID's themselves but before I look at stripping all the wiring and starting again is there any reason this could be happening within the factory wiring/switches?

Answered my own question when I found an old Halogen globe... Problem doesn't lie within the factory wiring.

But I love my HID's I prefer the colour for long drives. I ordered a new set thinking that it would be the easiest solution, while it hasn't rained so I'm not sure if they are turning on randomly they are flickering whilst driving with the lights off, which the last set were starting to do in the last week.

So I'm not sure what's going on. My dome light has begun flickering on bumpy roads so I was going to replace the door switches, being that the headlights are tied into that circuit to some degree (beeping when doors are open) could it be a circuit issue here?
