Hey guys I bought an arb bar just yesterday and i want to fit it but i have 2" body lift and the bar dosent suit body lift what would be the best way to make mounts to suit? Cut the mounts off and weld in a bit of 6mm two inches long and weld the brackets on the bottom then reinforce it? What do you guys think? Regards Sam |

Honestly, I think this is a great opportunity to make your rig better by removing the bodylift |

Some people need to have a body lift in for a reason You'll need to get some half moons drawn on the cardboard and get some laser cutter to get it done You can then re-inforce the internal 'tube' (i can't remember the schedule but i think it's 32NB) Put the SCH80 pipe in there and have it sticking out the ends and weld the half moons on there Hopefully that makes sense  haha

Yeah i know what you mean, i was speaking to a fabricator thats a friend of mine and recons to remove the hole origional mounts and we will lazer cut new ones the same just obviously to suit the lift And pezz i bought the car with no mods apart from the body lift and i would of taken it out but the amount of effort would be hardly worth it they are all siezed and covered on sika to stop vibration as far as im conserned it wont to any more damage leaving them in |

Fairynuff, but ive yet to see a good reason for a body lift that a grinder and welder cant sort out

From experience, A bolt on adapter is about a million times more work, and may still require bar mods. It's a shitload easier to cut and lower the mounting bracket 50mm. and not hard to reverse either. |
