is there a trick or secret to removing the body clips that hold the plastics on the Jimny?

some of them twist out. but others are a pain. want to check here before i get rough with them and most likely break them :roll:

If they are the double square ones like the Grand Vitara then they just pull out with care - they are genuine Suzuki parts and cot 4 dollars each.

You can buy panel removal tools that are plastic and have an end on them kind of like a claw hammer. If you slip them in between the clip and panel they pop out. I presume you're talking about the ones on the doors?

i got the ones on the doors by grinding a 10mm open spanner thin, with a slight bend (much like the tool you described) and that worked perfect. problem was the rear guards, where you cant get behind to push them out

some of them ones you need to push in the pin further then reset them when putting back in...
