Hey all, I noticed there wasn't much on this topic.. I have a 2005 jimny and decided to go for a beach run and I'm not sure I've cleaned it as much as possible. (It was my first time on the beach) I've pressure cleaned all the exterior body work and underneath as well as scrub the drive shafts and hose everywhere I can think. I have cleaned out the sills as well which tend to catch every bit of dirt you drive through Where else should I hose out with the gernie and clean in general to get rid of salt? Thanks

IMO don't bother with anything high pressure. Use a garden hose and pay particular attention to the floorpan, behind all bits of plastic trim, and the chassis where any sand/salt can accumulate. Hose the inside of the chassis rails as well. Make sure you get above the fuel tank and the top of all chassis cross members. Pay attention to concealed places. |

Pop the bonnet and do the seams on the front end, Suzuki didn't put seam sealer on them and it's a common rust spot. I'd get under the sill guards too. IMO a pressure washer is just the ticket for getting salt spray off. |
