Hey guys tried searching but couldn't find much info on which oil to use in my 97 vitara jlx 1.6.
I checked the manual and it says 5w 30/10w 30/10w 40 for the temperature I live in.
Any of these viscosities have any advantages or disadvantages over each other in the g16b and which brand oil is best?
Cheers.

10W40, 15W40 or 15W50 for Australia.

If you Google Castrol or Penrite NetLube and enter your model you shouldn't go wrong.

I ran Penrite HPR10 or HPR15 in my Sierras and Vitaras for a couple of years but now buy Delo Gold in 20L drums as I couldn't justify $50 every oil change.
