I getting pretty clost to doing a 1.6a engine swap into my 85 Drover and was advised to use the vitara gearbox as well to handle the extra power.....might also save buying a BenT kit. Will it fit and what mods will need to be done if I use the Vit box? or am I better off using the Sierra box and adapter. Appreciate any advice |

You may also need a shifter mod Jackshaft mods will be close to same cost as a BenT kit To fit he g16 you need to pack the passenger engine mounts out a touch, and on the drivers side, you can tilt the engine over and a use a little plate to get it to fit (have to drill a hole in the chassis engine mount for the nut and bolt to pass through) A BenT kit and using sierra gearbox, is a shit load easier, it comes with instructions. While the gearbox isn't as strong it'll work fine. Id only bother if I was going to use either of the vit auto, and/or if intending to use a vit xfer and non sierra diffs. |
