Just purchased a 1999 Jimny with a G16B fitted, although the automatic requires replacing. Do I need to source a 99 box, or will the later automatic from the M series etc bolt in and work with the same ECU etc?

Before Steve jumps on this topic, put an AW4 box and TCM from a Vitara in it. Turf the adapter plate you already have and it will bolt up.

But to answer your question, no the M series auto POS will not bolt in.

Cheers thanks , I have the AW4 box and output shaft, also have computer and wiring? Any links on how to make this fit? ie mounts and wiring?
