Hello Auszookers :D
I own a 1990 Swb vitara and have a question I can't find an answer to. My front left suspension seems to be sagged, my tyre on this side sits about 2cm closer to the guard than the right hand side. This isn't a big issue as I'm planning on a suspension lift in the near future, what has me concerned is that the tyre on this side also sits about 3cm closer to the inner guard or 3 cm further from the bumper. It causes scrubbing on this side when the right has none. Was just wondering if this is something others have run into.

Not sure exactly if this could be just a suspension issue or if that side took a big hit some time ago. Any info would be great, if this has been discussed before let me know cos I couldn't find anything.

Cheers, Al :)

Get your car to an alignment shop. Vitara's have been known to crack their chassis around the front strut mount and this could be associated with this problem. There are also a bunch of things that could be affecting the alignment.

If you aren't familiar with what a "normal" Vitara looks like and could spot potential damage/bent/incorrect parts etc I'd really suggest a professional opinion.

Check the bushes at the end of the A arms where they meet the chassis.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll take it to a shop. The bushes are cracked so maybe it's this, if it's a major issue I'll just find a new one if that's cheaper haha. The crossmember is dinged but doesn't appear to be out of whack compared to the rhs which sits normally
