Ive been searching for a rooftop bag for quite some time (nothing heavy going on top just a tent and sleeping bags etc) I need a bag thats 110cm long and wide and about 20cm high. There are a few that size if not larger but too heavy and over $200 |

Front Runner used to make a few sizes. I have the narrow one which was definitely sub $200. They also had a larger one. They are well made. I cannot find them on their site any more but found the one I have on a UK site. http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/access ... 00mml.html Try Opposite Lock who sell their stuff here. See if they still have them. I took mine on the Great Central road trip and you will see pics in the Trips thred of it. Mike |

Don't rule out buying waterproof duffel/kit bags either like those made by Ortlieb or their copies. They're quite a bit more versatile than a roof bag. (I have both) I have also found my rooftop bag to be less than 100% waterproof in heavy rain/snow. If you have to pack your gear into a waterproof bag inside another bag you can cut out the middleman. Steve. |
