Hey guys, im new to 4x4 and after years of wanting a sierra i finally got a stock 1991 sierra. Was just wondering though i wanted to modify it a little and probably start with an exhaust. I saw two different types of extractors on ebay one for a coily and for a leafy. Are these two types interchangeable on both models considering they both have the same engine or not? Cheers guys |

The difference is the coily model extractors need to clear the tie-rod which sits above the diff behind the axle - Unlike a leafy where the tie-rod is in front of the diff. I cant see why they wouldnt be interchangeable in any leafy chassis. On the other hand, one of my Coilies had a dent in 1 of the extractor pipes by being a set for a leafy. If it were a 1.6 or had 1/2" of bumpstop spacing it wouldn't have been a problem. I reckon if a manufacturer knew their Suzuki's they could just make 1 model to suit both based on the one to suit a coily. |

Well hopefully the coily ones fit because i got a little excited when I saw them and didn't read the coily part lol. On a plus side though the coily one's seem to look a little bit less restricted because it doesn't have the 90° bend at the bottom. Guess time will tell because they have alreaady been sent. Cheers |

Huh? what do you mean no 90˚ bend at the bottom? if the bend isn't at the extractor, it's going to need to be on the downpipe. |

From the picture on ebay the leafy ones go straight down and bend 90° . Where the coily ones sort of bend 45° then again 45° at the bottom. If that makes sense. |
