Hi all, I'm new here i have a 02 jimny with m15a, ora 4'lift, xrox bar, winch ,muddies, have a blast in it on weekends and use it to commute to work everyday, My question is my shocks are due for replacement, i think the rough country shocks that came with the lift kit had trouble handling the extra weight but they were ok, just seeing what else is out there and where to get them, Thanks.

Well, the shocks will have to have the same compressed length as a shock for a car with no lift, in the absence of other modifications to mounts or bumpstops, so there's a starting point. Id envisage OME would be far too soft for the spring rate required for a 4" lift.

Thanks for that, i was thinking something with the same length compressed and extended as the tough country shocks that came with the kit as they didn't give me no real issues, just thinking more compression maybe adjustable to accommodate the extra weight, it has bumpstops that appear 3 to 4in,

I have the same lift, my front has sagged a bit due to winch etc. at the moment I have vs wagon rear shocks in the front. They work Great however are to long But will tide me over until I can sort something out.
Best solution I think will be a 8" shock with the shock mount raised 2".
