| Post subject: | Sierra hub seal orientation |
Replacing front wheel bearings on a Sierra, just want to make sure the oil/grease seal is fitted correct. Should the seal spring side face towards the brake backing plate or against the wheel bearing itself? |

Seal spring sides should always face towards the side it is trying to stop the oil/grease getting out. So in your application it should face the bearing. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

In my Manual it says seal cup opening towards bearing face, which would have the seal spring towards the stub which is opposite to how seals work. |
