Hi all
New poster here. We have just purchased a 2003 GV SWB for our daughter who is about to get her license. As a family that's always been into 4wding she was keen for her own. With budget, practicality and fuel efficiency in mind we thought the GV would be a good fit
We found a well priced GV last week that already had some mods so was a good start for her. It has spotlights, dual battery provisions, uhf, light bar, rear 12v plug and upgraded stereo. It has 245/70 tyres fitted that looked like a pretty tight squeeze and looks like from the inner guards that there was a fair bit of scraping going on. A lift was the first thing on the list and managed to pick up some second hand King springs from a v6 LWB model, which meant the front springs were going to give it more lift than SWB raised springs. As we are planning to add the second battery and front bar in the near future we didn't think this will be too much of a problem.
After a bit of messing around my husband got the springs installed yesterday. Front came up about 60mm and back around 50mm. After managing to track down some camber bolts at repco these were installed and fixed around 90% of the front wheel angle. We have left the standard shocks in for now as it's driving fine on road but after taking it to the pines last night it seems the rear shocks don't have enough travel.
So after all the back story I am looking for recommendations of what shocks to fit in the rear to suit the increase in 50mm of height. Also what other components should we replace bearing in mind that the bigger tyres are also giving us an extra
inch of lift. We've always had landcruiser without ifs so just want to make sure we are changing all the things that should be changed, whilst still sticking to a tight budget!
Thanks in advance for any help

No idea how to use photobucket so hopefully that worked!
