Looking at down sizing from my cruiser to a sierra ute, planning to go look at it this weekend. Any common problems i should be looking for? And what are these like as daily cars? Mostly around town other than the weekends when itll be used off road. Appreciate any feedback and look forward to hopefully purchasing my first zook.

I personally couldn't stand one as a daily; I don't fit in them.

I love them as a daily!!! If your a big fella you may want to look at getting the seats fixed up or replaced with nice ones..

Oh, and as far as looking at them here's a couple of quick pointers..
Rust..
Between the bonnet and windscreen on both sides.
Lift the vinyl and check the floor pan
There's also a speedo cable hole behind the passengers left foot. Check for rust around the grommet.
Passenger and driver foot well there's bung holes, make sure there's no rust.
Make sure the motor is stone cold and see how it starts. If it has probs starting can usually be fixed without too many issues but a good bargaining tool
Have a study of what's under the bonnet.. Google pics and have a look at what should be there. Air intakes, hoses ect. Decide when you look at it if there's anything missing and how important it would be
Otherwise just drive it and see if driveline is ok. Steering box can be a little loose but can be tightened. Bits mighty be sloppy but small jobs can be done over time
Good luck!! Post pics

If you're under about 5'9 you should fit fine. If it's stock they have terrible, non- adjustable seats which maximise interior room. If it's has aftermarket seats fitted be aware these are generally set higher and eat up lots of interior room.

Check around the back of the cab for rust also, mud sits on the lip and rusts the back wall out. 84 will most likely be a F10a (1ltr) 4 speed. There is also a 99 model for sale in the sale section on here. It is in casino it is also a f10a 4speed.
