Hey,
I've been a lurker here for a while now and finally have some questions.
I've got a 97 Coily (not the gay kind pompoms )

So Ive read that people "upgrade" to the w/t transfer ?
Was wondering what that means?

Also in the process of making side steps / sliders and was wondering if someone had a better method of attaching these than my current plan. (Don't know how to upload photos so if someone could let me know how to do that, that would be great)

I now own 3 Sierra's and have a ton of questions. Im planning on making a build thread at some point to document the 1.6 conversion and all the other crap I've done. Look forward to the reply. Sorry about the noobie questions.

WT swap means using a SJ50/70 transfer case and using the leaf cars jackshafts, mounts and case to replace the coily chain driven case. This gives a small reduction by itself but allows the fitment of transfer reduction gears to correct the gearing once you have fitted larger tyres. Plus the leafy case is a stronger design being gear driven rather than chain.
