Hey everyone, have a g16b in my sierra, it's a new installation. It won't idle at all unless I manipulate the cone style AFM, if I push it in about 3-4 mm it will idle and everything works great but if I release it then it just dies!! I would normally assume it's stuffed but was wondering if manipulating it could be masking the actual issue. So if you know much about these things then it would be great to hear from you!! Cheers, Tom! |

maybe you have some unmetered air coming in somewhere else like the crank case vent/pcv system has a problem or some other pipe or a split in the rubber bellows or the plug connections are dirty, or a wire might be broken somewhere At lease check them out before condemning the Air Flow Meter |
