| Post subject: | Help with rim's |
Hi all, so I have a sj70 soft top and am looking for a set of play wheels and tyres (only to use on weekends etc. already have a set of at's for day to day use) a guy has a set of 15x8 -25 steelies. I'm wanting to run 30 inch muddies, just wondering if that offset will look stupid on my Sierra or not? Does anyone have pics of something similar so I can see what it will look like? I'm a complete n00b, thanks. |

15x8 is too wide for a 9.5" tyre. You're better off sourcing some 15x7's. For what it's worth, I run 15x7 -38mm offset with 31s and it LOOKS cool in my opinion =) |

I have 15x7 0 offset wheels with 31s on my leafy. They are just inline with the guards and dont scrub springs etc. |

Lift doesn't fit tyres. |

sorry, yes, body lift can help fit tyres. However, the people replying in this thread don't have a body lift and you weren't specific about what sort of lift. The "how much lift do I need to run X tyre" is repeated infinitely. The answer is always none. Any tyre you can run on a car with rego/a body/half a chance of driving on the road (so therefore anything <about 36") can be run with no lift at all - it's just a matter of how much work you're willing to do and how obsessive you are about stability. Steve. |
