Hey any help would be appreciated I have a 1990 vitara with G16B motor and brand new extractors and exhaust system can i put the exhaust system on to a 1994 vitara with a G16A motor

Extractors will not fit. The rest of the exhaust will be close enough to fit I reckon.

As above, extractors wont fit. The LWB piping and muffler etc probably wont fit the SWB without some modification
|

Oh good pickup that a 1990 G16b will be LWB. Hang on though, wasn't 1991 the first year of the LWB?

Just guessing. Could be a late 90 manu, but 91 compliance.
More info would be very useful.

They are both SWB and what other information would you like?

So the G16b must have been swapped in at some point. G16b's didn't exist in 1990.
Regardless, it doesn't change the answer. Extractors won't fit, exhaust mostly will.

Ok so how can I check what motor is in the car because the both look the same to me?

Now we're all confused. G16B is a 16 valve motor with an alloy rocker cover with 16valve cast into it.
The engine is fuel injected.
There are some g16a's which are the same.
Most g16a's (like 99.99999%) are 8v carby and have a plain black steel rocker cover.

Well then it would appear they are both the same engine cause they both have a carbi
