Hey guys just recently picked up a 95 vitara Lwb and installed a 2 inch lift pretty much straight away but it made my tyres look tiny (215/75 15 on 15x8) just wanted to know what sort of size I should stick to when going bigger but also not sacrificing on road "performance" it's a bit of a slug anyways |

Wow - a 215 on a 15X8? Cripes, that must be stretched something crazy. Anyways, It's just a sliding scale. You're currently 1" larger than stock. Next step is 235 75 15 which is another 1" larger. Each step you're going to notice a drop in acceleration and braking performance. I can't really tell you how much is too much - I know people who drove stock Vitaras on 33's, but that doesn't make it right. you should be OK on a 235 75 15. In any case, I'm not one to comment on aesthetics. Suspension lift is really only to increase compression travel, so the reason to run it is if you're suffering from excessive "blowing though" to the bumpstop. It's not connected to tyre size. ^^^ this, plus ground clearance are the only reasons. Is you car auto or manual? |

Suspension lift does not increase ground clearance for a live axled vehicle. |

Manual estate wagon and it turns out they are 15x7 not 8 just got a job as a tyre fitter and measured and checked them myself my workmate said he ran 31x10.5s on his without trouble but I think I'll just stick with 30x9.5 or 235/75 |
