Hey people Im new to vitaras I use to own a Sierra loved it.
Can somebody tell me the model, years and engine of the vitaras with steel diffs please?
And these diffs do they bolt in all the vitaras
Im thinking about getting a 2002 2.0 litre gv
Or a sv620 auto v6.

Steel diffs were only fitted to the manual transmission 2.5 litre Grand Vitaras (98~05) and the early XL-7s (upto 2003), they can be fitted to any of the Vitaras, provided you use the matching center mount.

also consider that the ratio won't necessarily be compatible, so you will need to swap that (or swap to 5.12 of offset larger tyres) , and the steel diff cars also have 26 spline front axles and axle disconnect.

Regardless, I'd also invest in the stubby shaft modification to prevent the RHS axle falling out

I was under the impression that the 2003-2005 (late gen1 GV, with the updated dash) autos had the steel front diff. At least, all of the ones I saw had them. Not that I saw many.

What are the they if not steel, cast alloy? I'm assuming only referring the the case
