With a heavy heart we are going to sell our 1981 Stockman, but I have no idea what's price I should list it at?

Some specs to assist anyone with suggestions...

Hardback (Wagon), Suzi yellow, great condition, all original spec, 150,000km, Prof re-con of gearbox and engine 40,000km ago, resprayed 4 yrs ago, no rust, has been used regularly, original carpets, a/c (not really :) )

Still got the service book, service manual & maintenance poster, and we're in WA

Cheers

Yeah 6k is a good call in wa. Be prepared to deal with 1 million absolute muppets when you advertise it

Wow! Thanks for your help, I'll prepare myself for the muppets as we want it to 'go to a good home'. Hopefully being 'down south' will help sort the wheat from the chaff

Try listing on carsales instead of gumtree perhaps, as that should filter out the flat brimmers.

^ That.

I have sold cars with great success on carsales, mostly because it weeds out the dickheads.

Gumtree is for junk and projects.

I'd put it up on carsales for $8k and see what happens. A yellow hardtop isn't exactly the most sought after of LJs but I agree with the others, if it really is very neat then you should be able to get $6k for it.
