My wife is planning on buying a new 2017 GV3 tomorrow - at what I think is a good price $26990.

She needs a 4WD to access a friends bush property. She is also considering waiting till the new Jimny is released.

My experience with Suzuki's is zilch.

What should she do? :)

Thanks

Manual or Auto?

$26990 cash price or trade in price?

They are very different vehicles.
The new Jimny looks to continue with solid axles front & rear & also more resemble the tin top Sierra last seen in 1998.
The price of the new Jimny will probably be well south of the $27k you are looking at this the GV3.
If the access to the bush property doesn't involve deepish ruts, with the chance of cross axleing (is that even still the right term for a full independent suspension set up?), then the GV3 will be a larger, more powerful & much nicer car to drive on the road & should cope with the bush stiff ok.

AFIK, the current jimny is no longer available... no suzuki dealers in SA have any new ones in stock, they all had to be sent back due to non ADR compliance at the end of 2017.

The sale team told me it was due to not enough airbags & stability control.

Thanks for forum members feedback

It looks like we will go with the GV3 (I expected the Jimny was to be released sooner).
We have got the price for the manual GV3 metallic paint plus a few extras down to $26850 (cash, no trade in).
