| Post subject: | Alternator question |
Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows anything about the GM alternator upgrade kit they sell on low range off-road. I've seen the EF/EL alternator upgrade thread on here but was just seeing what peoples thoughts were on this one, its not as high amp as the falcon one but apparently you can get higher amp GM alternators that fit using the same bracket. Appreciate any thoughts/info (links below) Bracket http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/suzuki-o ... acket.html Alt http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/suzuki-s ... acket.html |

This upgrade is the opposite of the EL/EF upgrade. A small upgrade for lots of money using an alternator you can’t easily replace locally. I think that sums it up. |

The bracket maybe but I reckon by the time you paid freight on the alternator you’d be paying a fortune for it. |

You could easily do the whole EL/EF swap including the charge wire upgrade low range don’t offer for the price of the shipping alone. |

True didn't think of that haha, I guess I'll see if I can find all the parts required for the EL/EF swap first and go from there |

Pull it yourself wreckers = pretty much job done. Do some reading on the polyvee pulley upgrade though. |
