I wheel my GV reasonably hard, occasionally - I don't have sliders. I could make sliders if I wanted, or thought I needed them. My car is already too heavy without adding something of dubious benefit. I've torn the plastic sill covers off 3 times, I've had to replace 1. The replacement covered the dented sill nicely While the slider might be no lower than the chassis (other than the mounting brackets), like GWagon says, it will hurt you clearance wise under the sill. You can buy lots of plastic clips & the occasional plastic cover for the price of those sliders. They look like a reasonable product for a reasonable price, but if you really, really need the protection rock sliders can provide, on a GV, you've got the wrong car, as you'll be in terrain that will destroy more than just the sills, or you need to learn to pick better lines. Rgs, Michael Thanks for that, that sounds about right actually. Good advice.

Depends on if you drive rocks or not, dirt and clay will massage you sills. Rocks just fuck them with no foreplay

Rocks and no sliders is bad. Take the 2 inch height penalty and be happy opening your doors at the end of a run. Attachment: IMG_3486.JPG

Or don’t play in rocks that are clearly beyond the capability of the vehicle if you care about cosmetic damage. It’s a GV not a junk sierra. Adding cosmetic protection will eventually add so much bulk and weight the car will have stuff all off road capability anyway.

Or, put some sliders on and have fun finding the great capability of your vehicle without damage. ^^ Like he says, It’s a GV not a junk sierra.

I think the cv's protect the sills by exploding at the first sign of rocks thus preventing nasty body damage.

Yep, that should probably read "Rocks and GV is bad" I've had a little play in rocks in my GV - best stick to little rocks. The weight of the car (but mine's heavy) + its 'bulk' (by Suzuki standards) + the (accepted practical) limit of the tyre that can be fitted + limited front suspension travel + most GV's are still daily driven & might want to be kept looking a little nice + 5door wagon wheelbase = rocks are not a nice playground in a GV.
