Battery is stuffed. Jumped car and ran ok. Flushed radiator, and now wire from the alternator to the battery is getting hot. It's the white wire, and from the battery it goes into the harness, and goes toward the firewall. But shows continuance from alternator to the battery connection. Connections were dirty so cleaner and replaced one. The alternator was charging yesterday. any ideas.

Went into Bruno's batteries in Mareeba, and he wanted $140,oo for a battery, told him what was happening, and he said he had some smaller new batteries that they had ordered too many of so got one of them for $50.oo. All good again, fucked battery must of have been drawing too much power and heating the wire. Go figure.

I’m trying to figure but I’m not getting anywhere.
Sounds like you had a flat battery and the alternator was charging it normally.

That's because you've put a charged battery in the car.

A multimeter would have told you what's happening.
