Im wanting to change my manual gear shifter knob in my 06 jimny Just woundering is there a trick to removing it?? Ive tried to just twist it of but it wont move?? Is there a trick or are they just on super tight from factory, ide say its never been removed before

I’ve had a few of mine which were stuck in place with an Epoxy glue or something. Can’t tell you if it’s factory but it was a royal pain in the shinola to get off, I think I damaged one but saved a few.

If you do want the knob to survive try a system like oil filter removal tools. The harder you press the tighter the strap becomes. I reckon you could knock one up with stuff laying around the shed (if you’re prone to having lots of stuff laying around the shed like me).
