Hi, I understand there is no hd axels for a nt front. So my question is, will putting an air locker in the front of my 87 sierra with 31s and reduction gears lead to broken axels? And then where can I find replacement axels? Otherwise is it worth the effort to find wt diffs and do a swap etc and get hd axels and then get an air locker? |

Go WT. 22 spline front axles/Cv’s will be marginal- how many are you prepared to break before you have to get rid of a locker nobody wants and swap to WT? Spend the money once. |

On our last club trip a club member broke his standard front long side axle on 29s, auto locker in the front. He has since gone WT with chromos. If you are driving terrain you need a front locker for sooner or later (sooner in most cases) the standard axles WILL go bang. |

Glue WT diffs in, makes a huge difference to the way the car works. |
